Terms and Conditions of Hire

Below you will find the basic terms and conditions for hiring bouncy castles, bouncy slides or other equipment from us. These terms and conditions are designed to protect both us and yourselves and to ensure that you have a safe and secure hire.

Fun Castles Terms & Conditions:

The safe operation of the bouncy castle or bouncy slide becomes the responsibility of the Hirer once we have set it up, and the proprietors will not be held responsible or liable for any accidents or injuries however caused.

  • We will need CLEAR side or rear access of approx 3ft wide to deliver your castle and would ask that the grass/set up area is reasonably flat & clear all objects including stones, rocks, garden toys, furniture, pets - oh, and young children.
  • We will only deliver and erect bouncy castles and/or bouncy slides if the weather is deemed to be such that it is safe to do so.
  • A responsible adult should be on hand at all times to supervise children and keep the front of castle clear to minimise the risk of accidents.
  • We recommend that there be separate bouncing sessions for different age groups so as to minimise the risk of accidents.
  • Shoes, trainers and all hard soled footwear must be removed, along with any other hard, sharp or dangerous objects. Spectacles are best removed or secured safely to the head.
  • Climbing or hanging on the walls of the castle or bouncing on the steps on the steps of the bouncy castles and bouncy slides is not permitted.
  • Do not "overload" the castle. Limit the number of users to approx 6 children on 12' x12' bouncy castles and 10 children on 16' x 16' bouncy castles, as this allows each child enough room to play safely. Remember to allow for the size and weight of the children bouncing.
  • Never switch the blower on or off while the castle is being used.
  • We recommend that you occasionally check that the castle is still securely pegged down.
  • No food, drink or smoking materials are to be taken into the castle at any time.
  • No 'silly string', party poppers or indoor (or outdoor) fireworks are to be used in or near the bouncy castles or bouncy slides.
  • Persons under the influence of drink or drugs should not be allowed to use the equipment.
  • It is not recommended that the electric blowers are used in wet conditions, but if used, please ensure that whilst the electrics are covered, the blower air intake is left clear.
  • In wet conditions the castle will become very slippery and we recommend that it is not used at this time.
  • If the castle is excessively dirty or in any way damaged when collected, the hirer will be liable and have to pay for any repairs or cleaning.
  • We do not hire out our castles to be stood on concrete, paving slabs, shingle, rocks, stones or other non secure surfaces.
  • If the bouncy castle or bouncy slide deflates for any reason, everyone must get of the castle immediately to prevent injuries. Switch off the power to the castle at the mains and then check the blower tube at the rear of the bouncy castle or bouncy slide to see if the blower tube has come off or untied. If this is the case, slip the tube back over the blower 'spout' and tie it back up. Switch back on at the mains and then press the safety cut out switch on the castle connector plug.
